As Dental Hygiene Educators who seek excellence through education, we as a group who promote the profession of dental hygiene are devoted to the development of curriculum that allows for the growth of the profession by providing continuous learning opportunities, collaborative resources for educators, and mentorship opportunities, while we develop the next generation of entry-level hygienists.

Why do we have an organization?
The quality of a dental hygienist must be established by their role models from the beginning of their education.
This organization is a professional organization set up as a 501 3(c) to further education for educators who seek excellence. Through membership in the Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas, Inc. (DHET), you have the ability to impact the future of dental hygienists entering into the workforce. This organization allows its members to have networking opportunities for sharing information while working with their peers and colleagues. As a collective group, educators have the ability to impact future political matters to maintain the quality of dental hygiene education. This organization is established to allow the members to have access to continuing education opportunities, committee participation opportunities, a support system from your fellow educators, and the ability to network with others that share the passion for education.

Goal of the Organization
The overall goal is to provide our communities with professionals who are lifelong learners in their communities, who provide comprehensive competent oral care with integrity, respect and compassion for the overall health of those around them.
